Mascot wedding
Sebastian was no stranger to the family.
After considering asking her father-in-law and her mother, even close friends, she decided it felt too much like replacing him. Since she credits her father for raising her to be a huge football fan, a passion they shared, she turned to University of Miami's school mascot Sebastian the Ibis to give her away to now husband, Patrick Sullivan.
"He raised me to be the biggest football fan," she told FOX 13.
According to Patrick, the decision was one that really turned an otherwise sad moment into something energetic and special. "It just put a smile on everyone's face," he commented.
The moment has become even more memorable as it picks up steam across the country. Her late father is getting quite the show, we're sure, hopefully with a smile.
In Jennifer's words, "It ended up being one of the most amazing/memorable moments of the day." We've never been so teary-eyed about a bird giving away a bride.
