ARIES (March 20 – April 18)
If there was ever a time to hook that guy or trade up relationships, then it’s between May 2 and 28. This is when men find you irresistible. But be careful playing with fire. You like things hot and spicy; however, even you could have a hard time stomaching what happens on May 14 and 15 if you don’t avoid men who are already spoken for. It doesn’t matter if he’s in a "loveless" relationship. Toss that fish back in the sea because you don’t want to piss off his wife or girlfriend. She’s a barracuda.
TAURUS (April 19 – May 19)
You won’t be making the best decisions while your ruling planet Venus is in Aries (May 2 – May 28). Feelings get inflamed during this time so that the emphasis is on tantrums and creating drama rather than on building love and intimacy. In fact, your competitive streak may prompt you to try to win a man’s heart just to show that you can or to spite a rival. Make sure you’re not playing fast and loose with people’s affections or your actions will come back to bite you in the derriere and that won’t be pretty.
GEMINI (May 20 – June 19)
Why do you have a hard time with a guy saying that he accepts you for who you are? Probably because it sounds disingenuous. Not only is it presumptuous (how can he accept you if you don’t accept yourself?), but there’s also a vague goody two shoes quality about this and that always makes you nervous. Thankfully the Mercury/Jupiter sextile on April 30 shows that sometimes people really do know people better than they know themselves. It will be hard for you to wrap your head around — but then again that’s probably the point.
CANCER (June 20 – July 21)
Things are getting really deep and intense in your relationship. You can tell that he needs you and wants you to be a part of his life. But this is also making you uncomfortable. You may wonder if you’re really in it for the long haul. That’s the funny thing about Cancers. Once you get what you want your instinct is to beat an immediate retreat. It comes from a fear that to love is to risk loss and that’s something you can’t bear. Stick around. You may find that it’s a risk worth taking.
LEO (July 22 – Aug. 21)
Venus enters that part of your solar chart that pertains to philosophy, religion and long-distance journeys on May 2. Over the next 3-1/2 weeks you may get involved with someone who wants to have a spiritual relationship with you (i.e., metaphysical not physical), comes from a different religious background or hails from an entirely foreign culture all together. It’s exotic and romantic and is definitely worth enjoying in the moment, but be forewarned that if things get serious, then there could be some heavy soul searching and maybe even heartbreak involved.
VIRGO (Aug. 22 – Sept. 21)
This isn’t a particularly romantic time. The things that appeal to you now are meditation classes, yoga retreats and spiritual pilgrimages aimed at helping you to find yourself. Men don’t figure into this too much. Mostly because you hate the way that you’ll drop everything to be with one. Now does this mean you’ll be living a celibate lifestyle for the foreseeable future? Hardly. It just means that you’re taking this time to get in touch with who you are so that when you’re ready to be with someone again you won’t be thrown off balance so easily.
LIBRA (Sept. 22 – Oct. 21)
Perhaps the most vexing thing in your relationship right now is that both you and your partner feel like you’re making all the sacrifices and that those sacrifices are in vain. This can become infuriating when it comes to trying to get your message across on May 2 because it feels like he’s just co-opting what you said and using your words against you. In truth, you’re both right and wrong. But finding a way to reconnect won’t be easy. It takes a willingness on both sides to suspend disbelief and to listen with fresh ears.
SCORPIO (Oct. 22 – Nov. 20)
The solar eclipse on Monday is bound to have a powerful impact on your relationship. Solar eclipses are astrology’s life course correctors. You think that you’re heading in one direction only to discover that you’re now going someplace completely different. For many Scorpios this will be a time when you get serious about your relationship. You will want to commit, to move in together or to marry. A few Scorpios may break up, but that will only be a small few. This eclipse is all about connecting with that special person on a deep and soulful level.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 21 – Dec. 20)
It’s true that life keeps handing your lover one setback after another these days. At first you didn’t take it too seriously. You preach the gospel of pull yourself up by your bootstraps and believe that people should get over themselves; however, even you’re beginning to wonder if the stars have something against him. Actually there is a reason why things have been rough lately and it has to do with the influence of Saturn. Tell him to hang in there for the next two weeks because the future will look a lot brighter after the 10th.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 21 – Jan. 18)
The solar eclipse on April 28 shows that it’s time to decide if you’re going to go the distance with that guy you’re seeing. Now there’s no denying that he looks good on paper. He’s handsome, well-heeled and going places. However the recent lunar eclipse has also revealed that these successes come with a steep price tag. What it boils down to is this: He can make it as long as you’re in his corner, but if you’re not? Then it will be significantly more difficult. That may sound like pressure, but it’s also the truth.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 19 – Feb. 17)
"Need" is a loaded term nowadays. It connotes co-dependency, abandonment anxiety and fears of being a woman who loves too much. But take need away and what does a relationship have to show for itself? Need is just as much a motivator as desire. The sun/Pluto trine on May 3 will bring your needs to the surface and you’ll probably feel exposed. What you may also discover is that vulnerability is the very thing that’s been missing from your relationship. Like the song says, "People who need people are the luckiest people in the world."
PISCES (Feb. 18 – March 19)
Don’t try to compete with his hectic schedule. He has a lot going on juggling commitments, putting out fires and racing to meet deadlines. This week’s Saturn/Mercury opposition shows that he’s under the gun and things won’t let up until May 10. So what’s a girl to do? Well don’t sit by the smartphone waiting for him to text. Go out with girlfriends and paint the town or even book a weekend getaway. This will keep you occupied and distracted. It will also keep him guessing when you’re not so quick to call back.
