Couples who have more sex may also do one of these nine activities

1. Couples who listen to music

I guess this one's not so weird — a little sexy music does help put most people in the mood, right? According to a study recently published by Sonos in an association with Apple Music (no surprise there), couples who listen to music — any kind of music — together have more sex. They surveyed 30,000 users and found they were having 67 percent more sex when they were listening to music regularly than when they weren't. The study's author says this is because music causes dopamine to be released in the brain, which makes people generally happier and more open to randy time.

2. Couples who run together

If any couples are looking for a little fitspo, it's right here. A 2013 survey conducted by Wakefield Research suggests that slipping on some running shoes might get your partner in the mood far quicker than sexy lingerie will. They polled 1,000 runners for the Brooks Run Happy Nation Report and found that 66 percent of said runners have more sex than non-runners do.

3. Couples who smoke weed

Now I know this one's slightly controversial, but several studies conducted by U.S. researchers James Halikas and Ronald Weller in the 1970s and '80s suggest weed is an aphrodisiac. It enhances physical sensations, makes sensual moments feel longer and can even improve orgasms. While it hasn't been exactly kosher to perform broader studies in this field (yet), the idea that it makes sex so much better suggests that couples who smoke it are doing it more.

4. Couples who do chores together

That's right, neat freaks! You finally have the perfect excuse to get your sig-o to do household chores without hearing the dragging of heels. Research conducted on a 2006 Marital and Relationship Survey found that couples who share in housework are the busiest between the sheets. This totally makes sense to me, because nothing turns me on more than the smell of Windex. Out of the 600 couples they surveyed, they found couples who split household chores were having the most sex — on average 7.74 times a month.

5. Couples who sleep more

Finally, a decent excuse to snooze five times in the morning! A 2015 study published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine found that getting more beauty sleep equals more sexy time with your partner. They discovered this by having 171 female college students journal about their sleep and sex habits for a couple of weeks. Turns out even one hour more of sleep can drastically improve your weekly sex numbers!

6. Couples who love grilled cheese

No surprise — this one's my favorite. Skout, a social networking and dating site, surveyed its 4,600 users and discovered a crazy link between grilled cheese lovers and people who are generally having more sex. According to its numbers, 32 percent of grilled cheese-ophiles are having sex six times a month compared to the 27 percent who don't enjoy cheesy goodness. I feel for them in more ways than one.

7. Women who are breastfeeding

While in the Western world women are thought to not be so into sexy times with their partners postpartum, apparently women in the Philippines are all for it. Michelle Escasa-Dorne of the University of Colorado studied 260 Philippine women between the ages of 15 and 35 and found that the women who were still breastfeeding were more sexually active than those who weren't.

8. People who use emojis

Match.com conducted a survey with its users about their emoji habits compared to their dating habits. According to the data it collected, emoji users in their 20s, 30s and 40s have sex more often (at least once monthly) than those who don't. However, don't think that means you can go overboard with the smiley, winky, kissy faces. No one likes an emoji over-user.

9. Couples who make more money

This one's sort of a no-brainer. If you're making lots of money, you are less likely to have the pressures that go along with money problems, which are, of course, a libido killer. Researchers at the Institute for the Study of Labor in Germany surveyed 7,500 Greek households and found that the couples who were having sex four times a week were making 5 percent more on average than the people who weren't boasting such a high number.
