When Michigan couple Amanda and Dan Tallman got married five years ago, Amanda got a very special inscription engraved inside her new husband’s wedding band.
But it wasn’t what you would expect: the date of their wedding, their names, or a romantic quote.
Instead, Amanda went for something tongue-in-cheek and had "Put it back on" engraved inside the ring.
This week, a friend of the couple posted a picture of the ring to Reddit, with the caption, "My best friend's wife had this engraved into his wedding ring. They have an awesome hilarious marriage and this is just a slice of her humor [sic]" and it has been viewed over 840,000 times.

Before the couple ordered their wedding bands ahead of their 2011 wedding, Amanda gave the jeweller her special request without Dan knowing.
"When the rings came in, I tried it on and noticed [the engraving] when I took it off," he told The Huffington Post. "I just laughed along with everyone else in the store."
In response to some negative comments online, including "Thats not creepy or controlling at all..." and "Nothing like a lack of trust to start a marriage", Dan was quick to set the record straight.
"She’s a prankster. She’s got a great sense of humor [sic],” he told ABC News of his wife. "Some people are commenting that she must be insecure or something, but it’s quite the opposite. People tell us we have the best marriage they’ve ever seen."
"We had three babies in less than three years. Our marriage is strong and it's because we keep it fun and humorous," Dan added.
He described the Internet's response to the photo "crazy" — especially because he didn't know that his friend was planning to share it online.
"I really didn't know what Reddit was prior to him posting it," he said. "Jordan took a picture of it a year ago and decided to put it online the other night. We all laughed and said that if it were ever to go viral, it would be because of Jordan."
