First Response — one of the main companies that sell the pee-on-a-stick tests — have figured out a way to entertain you during that three minutes so you don't freak out. The company just introduced "the first pregnancy test that syncs with your smartphone" this week during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The First Response Pregnancy Pro is a Bluetooth-enabled test that connects to an app that will guide you through the most important steps of the process. It also provides answers to some of your most important questions.

Taking the test is simple: You take a urine sample via the traditional stick — the app will walk you through that — and then wait for the official results to be uploaded through the app. It'll also provide calming, informational or entertaining distractions during your waiting period, too.

It might all seem a bit unnecessary, but the First Response Pro seems like it'll be a great companion for potential moms-to-be. First, it makes misreading the results almost impossible — no wondering if that's really a plus sign or not.

And when you get the results? The First Response Pro app is there for you. If it's negative, the app will provide information, suggestions and tips for getting pregnant; if it's positive, the app will calculate an approximate due date, along with information on the next steps. It can also serve as a period tracker, too, making it well worth the $15-$22 price tag.
