Gemma Wilson, a third year student at the University of Bristol, filmed 13 fellow students choosing and watching porn clips on an adult website. The young men and women reacted in a range of ways, from uncontrollable giggles to expressions of horror.
Gemma told MailOnline the idea behind the experiment was to explore how both genders react to porn.
"We're always trying to tackle not just issues that affect the student body, but current issues that affect everyone," she explained. "We thought porn would be a good one to do because both men and women have opinions on it. It was such a nice group of people, some were friends of ours and others we just grabbed when they were walking through the students' union."
"A couple of the girls had never seen porn before and they were the ones most funny and relaxed," she went on. "Two of the guys were so awkward, they just weren't speaking at all. Their body language is very uncomfortable."

A study carried out by the National Union of Students in 2014 revealed that 60 percent of students use porn to find out more about sex and 40 percent said porn helped them understand about sex. However overall almost three quarters of them said porn set unrealistic expectations of sex.
