Of all of the Valentine's Day traditions that refuse to die, those chalky, stale, adorable little candy hearts are at the top of the list. Maybe they stick around because we love tradition? Or nostalgia? But either way, since they originated back in 1901, we thought we might help them get on our level about how most of us really feel about Valentine's Day and what we actually communicate to one another on Feb. 14.
