ARIES (March 20-April 19)

This week you meet someone who's an absolute dream. He's charismatic, adventurous and worldly. Unfortunately, there's no future in it. Probably because he's gay, already spoken for or is 20 years out of your age range. Are the stars teasing you? No. The stars are doing this to show you that men can be friends. It's been a long time since you just hung out with a fellow free of all the sexual tension and social politics that can mess things up. It will be a nice reminder of what you enjoy about guys in the first place.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

It's hard to believe how you can feel absolutely nothing toward someone who used to mean so much. One could say it's because you were hurt too many times, but in truth your relationship has run its course. It's why you want to part company as civilly and as succinctly as possible. The last quarter moon in Scorpio on Feb. 11 shows there's one last bit of business that needs to be taken care of. He may try to be provocative and if he is, then ignore it. You have your life back and that's what matters most.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

If you know that he can't give you what you want right now, then why are you pushing him? That's the question you'll want to ask yourself on Feb. 12 and 13. It's important to remember in times like these that you knew what you were getting into when you started dating him. He himself warned you about his own less-than-sterling qualities. Obviously that doesn't let him off the hook but you shouldn't be harboring any unrealistic expectations either. You're free to go should you choose to do so, but don't make him make that decision for you.

CANCER (June 21-July 21)

Attraction does funny things to you. It's never easy and straightforward. There's always a part of you that starts reimagining him in your mind. Aloof is seen as mysterious; rudeness is a sign that he needs love; claims that he wants to be left alone are translated as signals that he really wants you to pursue him. Thankfully the last quarter moon in Scorpio on Feb. 12 will debunk some of these stories you've been telling yourself. It is possible that he's just a brusque, ill-mannered lout and that you love him just the way he is.

LEO (July 22-Aug. 22)

You'll be surprised to learn on Feb. 11 that someone who rejected you before has had a remarkable change of mind and wants you back. It's astonishing, distressing and gratifying in that you told him he was making a mistake at the time and now he has to admit it. But how do you know he won't change his mind again in the weeks to come? The easy answer would be to say thanks, but no thanks. However, the stars show that he really is sincere. You could do worse than to give him a second chance.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

It's confusing when you complain about a loved one's outrageous demands one moment and then bend over backwards to accommodate him the next. It's almost as if you're deliberately setting him up for a fall. This is something that you need to disentangle yourself from on Feb. 12. The only way to do this is to accept responsibility for your actions. You may feel like this is giving him the upper hand in the discussion, but it's not. In fact, owning up to your side of things will invite him to own up to his.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

It pains you the way that loved ones and friends accuse you of being selfish nowadays, but you have to remember that they're only saying that because of your recent decision to put yourself first. Had you continued hovering around in the background administering to their wants and needs, then there wouldn't have been a word of complaint. That double standard isn't something that's going to be recognized anytime soon which means it's pretty much you in your corner these days. It's strange being on your own like this, but it's good for you and long overdue.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Your emotions lie close to the surface thanks to the last quarter moon in Scorpio on Feb. 11. You will feel like you're a glass bottom boat and that everyone can see right through you and right down into your private thoughts and feelings. Yet nothing could be further from the truth. The moon traveling through your sign can make you feel needy and exposed, but that isn't what others are experiencing. If anything they may find you guarded and defensive. Thankfully it's only a passing mood and you should feel back to normal by the 18th.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22 -Dec. 20)

You may not have a lot of belief and confidence in yourself nowadays but that doesn't mean that others share the same opinion. In fact this looks like a wonderful time for receiving unsolicited praise, recognition and even help. Let yourself be open and receptive to all the wonderful things that the universe has to give on Feb. 12 and 13. This may not rekindle the faith that's gone missing inside, but it will do a lot to make you feel valued and cherished. And that — in and of itself — is a step in the right direction.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 21-Jan. 19)

This would be a good time to examine your friendships and how you treat them. Friendships often take a backseat to romantic dramas, family crises and office politics. That's why it's important to touch base. Contact a buddy or two on Feb. 10 and ask how you're doing. They may have some things to say that only a friend can say. Friendships serve as both conscience and memory. Conscience because a good friend will bring you back on track when you've gone astray and memory in that a friend will always remind us of who you are underneath.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 17)

Aquarians are ego shy. You want to be recognized and appreciated for all the good you do, but you shun the spotlight. It's why public displays of affection, gestures of gratitude and gushing appreciation make you run in the opposite direction. You want it, but you feel cheap asking for it. Take this time to reflect and ask how would you feel if people reacted to your praise in the way that you react to theirs? This could prove to be enlightening on Feb. 13. Everyone needs ego stroking from time to time and you are no exception.

PISCES (Feb. 18-March 19)

Rewriting the script is harder than you think. Most people believe that if things don't work out with one guy, then you can just dump him and move on to somebody else. You can, but you will carry the unresolved issues of one relationship right into the next. That's why they call it emotional baggage. It's not so easy to get rid of. Think twice about ending the relationship you're involved in now because Mercury coming out of retrograde on Feb. 11 shows that you may be jumping ship right when you're on the verge of getting somewhere.
