The woman on top or "cowgirl" position is the most dangerous sex position. It is responsible for half of all penile fractures in the bedroom. The research also revealed that the "doggy-style" position, with women on all fours comes in second at 29 percent. The "man on top" only causes 21 percent of them.

The study looked at over 13 years of "penile fractures" in ERs. It sounds as unpleasant as you might imagine. Half of the victims reported hearing a crack that was followed by pain and sometimes swelling.
Ouch.
I am the last person on earth willing to say that these people must be doing something wrong. I am way too superstitious for that. If I say that, I am sure it will happen to us tonight. That said, it does seem a little odd, although I guess if you sat down hard and the wrong way, it makes sense.
Really, there are so many ways sex could cause injury. But my heart goes out to the man who experiences this. It sounds horribly painful. Yowza.

As for the rest of us, I don't plan on changing up my sex routine anytime soon. But I suppose I will be more conscious of the way I sit or how he is feeling since I now realize the consequences could include breaking his penis. Seriously, I will continue to stress about this for days.
But look, the lady on top position is hot. It is also a position in which the woman has complete control. So don't throw the cow out with the cowgirl (or, er, something). It's an important part of the bedroom acrobatics. Just be careful. For the love of all things male and hard.
